I was prompted to write this article after reviewing my Facebook timeline. In March 2015, I posted ‘the scripture Matthew 14:13-21 parallels my current situation. It is amazing how God multiplied his resources to such a degree that I am happy, content, and satisfied!’ Scriptures says that Jesus: “Took the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the (5000) people. They all ate and were satisfied.” This scripture mirrored my life since losing my job. Traditionally, LinkedIn.com is a website for promoting business, and the postings are rarely personal or connected to religious beliefs. I understand. Everyone doesn’t believe in God. But, everyone should believe in a higher power! Surely, you don’t think that you were POA (Pulled Out of Air)! I’m going to step out of the norm and make the correlation between God and finances. Therefore, this article is about living a stress-free financial life with God at the helm. It’s not impossible, s/he can do it! Your life can be free of harassing collection calls, and fear of opening the mail. God can do it!
I loss my job in February 2015. It hasn’t been totally worry-free, but I can easily and honestly say that it has not been hard. It’s been over a year since I made that FB post and although I initially felt that my progress as a entrepreneur had been slow, some amazing things have happened…I have been quoted in a number of national publications such as NASDAQ, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Los Angeles Times, Palm Beach Post and a host of other media outlets. I am being recognized as a “go to” person in Youth and Millennial Financial Education & Coaching. My company, Youth Smart Financial Education Services, specializes in financial education for the youth, and financial coaching for young adults in their 20’s and 30’s. Why am I telling you all of this? I’m telling you because sometimes progress appears to move at a snail’s pace. You may currently be experiencing financial difficulties, but God can swiftly work it out! He fed the multitudes with only two fish! Mathew 7:7 NIV says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. Seek help! Sure, I’d love to help you. But, regardless of who you choose to consult, it’s important that you receive help. You deserve a peace of mind, a brighter future, and to achieve financial wellness! Peace unto you!!
